Frequently Asked Questions

How is my data handled?

We store your files in an encrypted format on AWS S3. We do not share or sell your data to any third party. Data is sent out off Knibble in 2 cases:

When you upload a file, data is chunked and stored in a third party vector database
When you ask a question, relevant data chunks are sent to a third party AI model to generate an answer.

Which model is used?

We use OpenAI’s gpt-3.5-turbo model to generate answers. We currently do not support GPT-4 but this will be available soon.

Can I use my own OpenAI API key?

Yes, we support Bringing your own API keys (BYOK) on all paid plans. Please refer to this page for more details.

What data formats are supported?

Currently, you can upload one or multiple pdf or text files, or add a link to your website to be scraped.

Can I add my chatbot to my website?

Yes, you can embed an iframe or add a chat bubble to the bottom right of your website. Please refer to the demo video.

Can I personalize my chatbot?

Yes, you can add your own instructions to the chatbot using our “Persona” feature. You will be able to provide a custom prompt (up to 500 characters) that will be included in each query to the AI model.
